Sewing, repairs & alterations — made local, made to last.
A little stitching studio and haberdashery on the High Street in Bishops Castle. Bring us your repairs and alterations, drop off your dry cleaning, or pop in for a reel of thread and a chat.
Our story
A stitch in time, on the High Street.
Snailhouse Stitching is run by Georgia Tomlinson, who has been repairing garments and creating bespoke alterations — from everyday clothing to curtains and soft furnishings — since 2017. What began at the kitchen table has grown into a proper little studio and haberdashery at 4 Union Street.
The idea is simple: good clothes and well-loved things deserve to be kept going. Whether it's a hem taking up, a zip replaced or a much-loved coat brought back to life, everything is done by hand with care — and usually with a chat over the counter.
What we do
Everyday mending and made-to-measure alterations, a local dry-cleaning service, and a proper haberdashery — all under one roof.
